Body­Bal­ance is the Yoga, Tai Chi & Pilates work­out that builds flex­i­bil­ity and strength and leaves you feel­ing cen­tered and calm. Con­trolled breath­ing, con­cen­tra­tion and a care­fully struc­tured series of stretches, moves and poses set to music cre­ates a work­out that will improve your flex­i­bil­ity, range of move­ment and core strength. You will leave your Body­Bal­ance class feel­ing bal­anced and calm, stand­ing straighter and feel­ing stronger.

A TYPICAL CLASS

Each BodyBalance class is made up of simple but challenging exercises, followed by relaxation and meditation to fully relax and unwind. A typical class flows like this:

1. The class will begin with easy, flowing Tai Chi moves to leave your day behind, center yourself and warm your body.

2. The instructor will then take you through various Yoga and Pilates sequences to strengthen and tone your key muscle groups. Poses and stretches are used to create suppleness and flexibility.

3. The final 10 minutes (60 min class only) are set aside for the widely acknowledged mental and physiological benefits of meditation which also enhances the effects of the exercise

Like all the Les Mills programmes, a new BodyBalance class is released every three months with new music and choreography.

TAKE A LOOK AT A BODYBALANCE CLASS

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING WITH YOU

BodyBalance2Don't worry about shoes, as you will do the class barefoot. We recommend you wear comfortable workout clothes which allow to move fully with freedom and ease. 

A yoga mat isn't essential, but a good idea if the class is outdoors by the lake (we have yoga mats available for all indoor classes). 

Don't forget your water bottle and workout towel.

LEVEL OF FITNESS

BodyBalance is for everyone! Regular participation in a BodyBalance class will improve your joint flexibility and range of motion, tone and shape your entire body, and enhance your mental wellbeing. Whether you are participating to improve lower back pain, strengthen your core, stretch out your muscles after cardio and resistance training, or because you enjoy the flow of yoga and pilates practice, you will experience the benefits!
